Fiera knew from a young age that every third or so centirevolution others would remark on how her coat looks so much like the red and gold surface on Petrichor below. She could never get away from it, and no one seemed to remember they'd said it every time previous or notice that she shied away from those "compliments". Eventually, she began to dread the arrival of Petrichor's season her people called Fire. And once she began to dread it, she had to find other reasons to declare she did not like, going from discomfort to disdain until she had talked herself into an utter hatred of the season. If she could, she would wish it out of it's very existence. And now, it just had to be the time when her whole life changed, for better or for worse.

So. It's that time of year again. Hiwot gave a soft sigh. Change of the seasons. The weather is cooling down. The colors are changing. I've noticed the herds that pass through are slowing to only a couple groups a week; probably returning to their homes or something. The cubs from the year previous have their coming of age ceremony which is pretty neat. It's nice to see young ones come into their own and find their purpose. A small smile came to her face as she thought of it. She had a real soft spot for cubs. Anyway. You asked how I feel about the season and holiday. The cooler weather is nice. Autumnal scents are also refreshing. She chuckled lightly. I suppose it's fitting my favorite color is orange. Something about the warm shade... can't help but feeling warm inside or feeling a smile come on. The holidays are a little... different. I'm not really one for big celebrations. The feasts always make me feel overwhelmed. The stories always seem... a bit far-fetched at times. Some of the activities are a little silly but perhaps endearing in their own way. Pelt painting, squash carving, tall grass mazes, and some of the younger ones even dress up using whatever they can find around the land. Mud, twigs, leaves, fruits, bones- they can get quite creative. She gave a shrug of her shoulders and smiled. I'd say the season as a whole is my favorite. The holiday is... not so bad as far as holidays go. One of the few where you can see the cubs really come out of their dens. So I suppose the holiday isn't terrible.

Iliou loves the fall season.... well part of it at least. She loves the harvest and the colors as well as the weather and the festivities. Her favorite activity is the festivals for the different deities and the extravagant costumes the pride dresses up in. However she dislikes the spookier side of things. Iliou is a strong warrior so she doesn't like admitting it in case it ruins that reputation but... she gets scared really easily. Sudden jumps and tricks leave her on for the part of the season closes to halloween. No one means the spooks and scares to be rude but all the same it makes Iliou very nervous and at times grumpy. Luckily as she got to know more people in her new pride she opened up and they try to avoid scaring her but every now and again someone messes up and forgets. Honestly though, it's sort of worth it. Her last pride didn't really celebrate many things so although the season has some downsides it more than makes up for it with all the parties, celebration, and sense of community
