“Fine! I can live without you anyways! It will be a piece of cake, not having to defend all of your sorry tails from predators!!” Rabbitfoot was screaming. The anger, and grief, in his voice rang out.

The tom has just confessed to the murder of Raintalon, Deerclan’s first deputy and Echostar’s mate. Because of this, the heartbroken leader had no fear in exiling her former friend. It did leave Violetsnow anxious, after all, Rabbitfoot had been her mentor just a couple moons ago. Had everything he’d taught her true? Or was it all fake? Should she remain loyal to him, or to her clan?

Rabbitfoot’s voice once again broke the silence. “I will take any cats who want to join me. We’ll be retreating to the island, and creating a new clan. Any cat that steps up will gain immediate success, perhaps deputy?” His words were soothing, manipulating. What every cat would want.

She stepped forward, hostile glares being tossed her way. She acted hesitant, as if you was questioning what she was doing. Violetsnow could use this too her advantage if she played her cards correctly. “I-I’ll join.” Her voice no more than a whisper.

She planned on joining Rabbitfoot, only to stab him in the back and gain fame in Deerclan. If you didn’t move up fast, you had to be smart.

This was her secret, and it could not be shared until the time was right. She will lose everything, just to gain it back.

They were coming soon... Cindersnow needed everything to be perfect. He needed to time things just right for his pounce... He would show his clan that he was the stealthiest, that he was the smartest... Cindersnow would show them that he was not meant to be underestimated.

He had been planning this ambush for a long time; probably since he joined the clan. The others looked at him, and he could see that they brushed him off as weaker because he was smaller. Yeah, well, Cindersnow would see who was going to have the final laugh on this day.

There! The patrol was drawing closer. Mudminnow was teasing Blizzardstar about something, Maplethorn lagging behind them. It was the picture of serenity... but Cindersnow was going to be there to cause chaos.

"Charge!" The tom yowled, leaping majestically at the upcoming trio. To the cat's credit, they stopped in their tracks, blinking in confusion as Cindersnow came down in a mass of limbs, tripping over his own paws on his way to pounce. "Ow," the tom scowled, rubbing his head with a paw. "Well, that didn't work," he said, looking at his leader with an apologetic smile. "Sorry. Was just trying to scare you lot, but I guess that backfired on myself... again."

Blizzardstar simply rolled his eyes. Yet another of Cindersnow's 'plans' to scare them failed. But inwardly, Blizzardstar smiled. He couldn't wait to see what Cindersnow tried to plan next.
