Jester's constellation is a part of a series that tell a story. As a young Keldine, they were granted the most glorious set of wings made of stars after rescuing a powerful God's daughter.

after rescuing, the God offered his daughters hand in marriage - upon her request - but ultimately turned her down for someone else. because of this, the God stripped their wings down to nothing but the skeleton.

Jester, now seen as a joke among their fellow immortal beings, is made to be the 'Jester' of the omnipotent beings because of the God's decision.

Haven't you heard the story of Cacoethes?

He was put in the stars, they say.

His constellation chases after the constellation Draco, eternally in orbit, never meeting. He will chase forever and never catch up. Just as it was when they were alive.

Cacoethes was an angry, brooding man who had been dealt all the worst cards in life. He was poor, orphaned and lonely. There was little he had to smile about and it lessened by the day. That's why when he walked past the mouth of the dragon's cave each day on his way home from work, he thought about it. What could be inside that cavern? It was rumored there was a dragon within the deepest parts of that cave. But if there was a dragon, what magnificent hoard would he have? It wasn't a thought he'd have had, if he wasn't so starved for all the good things in life, but he couldn't help but wonder. Killing the dragon seemed a simple task if it meant the easy solution to all of his worries, the sudden and miraculous acquisition of the thing he'd wanted his entire life-- money. Enough money to be somebody. Enough money to finally exist. To have the option to choose how he wanted to live his life, rather than being forced by the cruel hands of poverty into whatever odd jobs would pay.

It was, to Cacoethes credit, months of stewing before he caved to these desires. But there was a day he had saved enough to purchase a fine sword on his way home from work that day, and instead of passing the cave, he pivoted on one heel and went inside. He kept with him a lantern that cast enough light to see by, and he navigated the cave like a new fawn. On the walls of the cave he noticed fine carvings of all sorts of mythic creature, in the walls glinted chromatic crystals in all shapes and colors. The tunnels wound and coiled as Cacoethes proceeded ever deeper into the cave, descending into its farthest unknown reaches.

You're leaning in your seat. Are you wondering how he kills that dragon of his? So is he, to this day.

Because he never found a dragon in that cave.

All he found was a sudden drop.

The rock caved from under his feet when he stepped too suddenly on too delicate of an area, and before Cacoethes knew it, he was falling. He felt weightless, and finally his burdens were removed from him.

Until he saw the glint of dragon's eyes in the dark.

Then he cursed everything. His bad luck was again his greatest enemy, and so there was not even peace in passing on.

So Cacoethes was put up in the stars by a powerful spirit that pitied the poor soul and saved it from complete destruction, preserving it in the stars and letting the mortal try his hand again at life.

He was given a second chance.
