The Prince for my WOF world.

He was the only egg that survived(The other two were infertile) the final clutch his mother, Queen Urchin, had. Urchin had just recently lost her last living daughter and in was complete panic. In her fuzzy and jumbled mind, she decided that she would treat Ruin as if he was her daughter instead of her son. Despite his father's best efforts, Ruin would be continuously berated by his mother for not picking the right pearls or not have his scales as shiny as she'd like them to be. This caused Ruin to be self-conscious of his appearance but his friend Tidal eventually dragged him out of that state of mind. Once Ruin was old enough that his mother wouldn't be constantly following him, he and Tidal escaped the palace and into the vast kingdom.
