Lightning struck the tree Featherpaw was in, and she growled defiantly, pursuing her goal to be a warrior. She leapt forward, and pounced on a cardinal in mid-air. It shrieked in pain, but she cleanly snapped its neck. Featherpaw landed softly on the ground, in sync with a loud boom of thunder. She dropped the dead cardinal at her leader's gaping form. Come on, Birchstar said. Let's go home, you've earned your warrior assessment.
