It wasn't the... best day of my life. If anything, it was one of the worst. I was very young, only about four months old, and it was the first day of December. When we woke up, Zuzu was barking her head off and clawing at her crate, and as soon as our owner, Sorin, let her out, she dashed toward the door and barked for all she was worth. Outside, she started springing about like a lunatic. Springing about in the several inches of snow that had settled overnight!

Of course, everybody wanted to go see it. Even me- I was the youngest and, I'll admit, the most easily scared of the group. Because of that... I had never gone outside before.

I don't know if Sorin had noticed it before, but she noticed it now. As soon as I stepped outside, the light rebounding off the glistening white snow hit my eyes - and hurt. I collapsed, whining and whimpering like crazy, paws over my poor eyes. Naturally, I was taken straight back in side. But I was desperate to go see this bizarre white wonderland, finally to step outside. I curled up by the door, waiting.

Later that day, the vet said I had extremely sensitive eyes, and the bright light had aggravated them. I wouldn't be able to go outside in the sunlight. I didn't understand at the time, just knew I wanted to see the snow. The rest of the day was spent mewing at the door, hoping someone would let me out.

And eventually, someone did. At night-time, when the sun was down. It didn't hurt, and the whole evening I played out there. It was amazing.

So it might not have been the best day, but it was one of the best nights ever.

Glaceon was a small kitten when they first interacted with snow. They were playing outside when a small cold flake touched his nose, causing him to jump. Soon his mother pulled him inside as a snowstorm was going thru. The small kitten watched thru a window as the storm happened. Causing him first to believe snow was a dangerous thing which how white the world looked.

When he awoke the next day, he was surprised to see the sun. Then even more shocked to see his mother outside walking in the snow. So he picked to take a step into it. Causing him to shiver but enjoying the sound of a soft crunch at his step. Despite the cold, he took another step taking joy in the sound. The feeling was even comforting, which surprised him after taking more steps. The soft feeling of the snow in under his paws felt fantastic. His mother was smiling at him, so he ran to her, kicking snow around as he did so. Skidding to a halt centimeters away from his mother, causing him to laugh and began to roll around in the snow, only stopping to smile at his mother.

The rest of the day was spent with him playing in the snow as his mother watched. From time to time she would join in when he needs another cat to play in whatever game he came up with it.
