pov: you're feeling down because you've got a very strong feeling that you're going to be assassinated when going to the kingdom's capital for ~reasons~ (spoilers shh, yes there is actually a story involving these two + cato) but your bf is too preoccupied with the thought of going back to the home he ran away from three years ago for ~more reasons~ to care or even notice

I lost inspo for this halfway through but wanted to at least partially finish it which explains the botched background and lack of highlights on august and dust devil. I don't like this one anywhere near as much as my last piece with these two, even when you don't count the lack of detailed background or proper use of my lighting techniques. sorry bout that

also, cato is going to be getting some love soon, I have musical inspiration for a piece surrounding him. and it's pre-death pre-adulthood cato so he's got some mild positivity. so look out for that
