Welcome to Lapland Warmbloods! Finnhorses with soft coats and even softer hearts!
Lapland Warmbloods wrote:Lapland warmbloods are finnhorses who roam the heavily forested parts of Northern Lapland. They are a wild breed who can (and have been) domesticated over the years. Their diet consists of mainly: hay, grass, fruit, and occasionally feed provided by their domesticators. They stand at their smallest 13 hands high and at the highest 16 hands high. They have a heavy build, much like that of a draft horse but can be used for almost anything! Their offspring stand at 9 to 11 hands high. Lapland warmbloods are an oddity because they can sport any coat color known to the horse world. There has been no recorded cross-breeding and this breed is completely pure. Lapland warmbloods are some of the finest horses in all of Finland. They have been imported out of the country and despite their size, they are incredibly agile and fast and make good trotters. They participate in harness racing, dressage, show jumping, and cross country! They are also used in place of draft horses for pulling competitions. Lapland Warmbloods have incredible strength too! They can pull more than their own bodyweight! They have been known to be territorial towards other horses but very calm and sweet towards humans. They have an even temperament and are confident in everything they do.
