What are Wolvens? wrote:Wolvens are wolf-like animals with a strange background. A fire deep within their soul allow them to change with stranger appearances. Some relating to humans, like hair, and other mythical beats, including horns. With much breeding and mutations, Wolvens were born by complete mistake. The pollution and neglect to the world of Earth have caused wolves to have mutation-like dominate and recessive traits that have since passed to their young. In attempt to find more about these beasts, scientists have been able to track some of these magnificent creatures. Still, not much has been since discovered by these creatures.
Main habitation: Whispering Woods; The Whispering Woods are a place that has been created by pollution and neglect of the world. Trees began to grow over excessive rates and cause the wildlife to mutate as well as native creatures. The Woods are eerie and contain an ambient noise that always rings in the background. It contains a silent stillness with the chirping of crickets and singing of frogs, sometimes also containing the sound of the new mutated creatures...
Facts: Wolvens are decedents from wolves, yet have strange mutations and genes. Wolvens' height varies from 2.5' - 3.1' at shoulder height, standing larger than an average sized wolf. Ages of wolvens vary from 13 - 22 years. The mutations of these creatures caused their average wolf genes to advance. Their main meal is varied from living plants, to other mutated creatures that are around the size of a white-tailed deer to a juvenile moose.
Pups and Offspring: The genes of wolvens are passed down from their parents. If both male and female carry a standard or common mutation, the offspring is most likely to carry on that said gene. If a male and female carry a rare or unique mutation, the offspring are less likely to carry that mutation. If a male or female carry a standard or common mutation that the partner does not share, the offspring has a 75/25 chance of having that gene, and so on or so forth. Female wolvens often carry 4-7 pups total, but only selective mutations cause around 1-2 pups to survive in the womb. Almost never, does a female bare 3 pups. If a mother bares more than 2 pups in one litter, she is most likely to die from blood-loss or poisoning from the mutation genes from the pups.
