Okay, so if you're unaware, alignments are a spectrum used in DnD (I believe) to decide how your character generally acts.
There are two sides to them - think of it like a multiplication chart.
Lawful, Neutral, Chaotic.
Good, Neutral, Evil.
So the nine alignments are
lawful good, lawful neutral, lawful evil,
neutral good, true neutral, neutral evil,
chaotic good, chaotic neutral, chaotic evil.
Lawful good is the "best" of them and chaotic evil is the "worst".
The way I percieve it is action, intent.
So, for example, if one was lawful evil, they were good in action, and evil in intent. They wanted to do evil but did good instead.
That's essentially how it rolls... The first part of the alignment is the action/effect they take, and the second part is what they intended with their action.
