A very common species, the pennata draco, or feathered dragon, are known for their vibrant plumage and great stature. It is said that the more stripes on the tail of a feathered dragon can tell whether or not the dragon is in tune with arcane magic. Featherless breeds of feathered dragon exist, though they are less common. Feathered dragons can be found much shorter than average, thusly named munchkin dragons.

Why do they carry this orb? to snuff out the light⁠— the orb absorbs light energy itself, slowly turning the world darker and darker. except, the orb is actually only a fragment off of a much bigger stone that's hidden somewhere deep and dark, and protected. megcharia's fragment can only slightly dim an area within a 50 foot radius or so.

Why do they carry this orb? The orb is a piece of its body, magically attached even though it appears to float. The orb doesn't usually glow, but upon forming a contract with a loving, trustworthy, and powerful summoner, the orb began to glow to reflect the boost in power that their friendship brings to them both.

It's actually kinda weird... sometimes it moves around when they're not looking, and it also whispers ominously nice things?? Like "Did you know that you'll achieve your dreams one day? You cannot stop it." or like "You should love yourself, they do" and "You're amazing, and there's nothing you can do to change this". Um......thanks?
