probably gonna make him a part of my forest au with everett
alston is (prob) one of the knights for the royal deer family and like he sees how much everett is suffering with the amount of expectations he has (everett pretty much doesn't want to be royal or even a heir). so alston is sorta like a best friend to everett, giving him advice?? and they probably go on mini adventures together (which, many times have ended up with them getting hurt from hunters but they are ofc ok)
