The fold of the hills rippled.
"It's your land!" said the adventurer, letting the young Nagaline dash in front of him. The adventurer had bought this land for Lavender, just for her.
Lavender ran in circles chasing her tail. Smelling the flowers, feeling the breeze. The adventurer walked up to her and she settled down.
"I need you to stay safe. I have to go on but you can stay here and live a good life," the adventurer said in a sad tone. Lavender dashed of over the hills. It had been 10 months and Lavender had explored everywhere and became lonely. So she left. She wandered for a while before encountering the adventurer.
"What are you doing here?" the adventurer asked, "I gave you that land."
And I grew bored Lavender thought. The adventurer picked her up and carried her around the town he was resting in. He tickled her belly and rubbed her head. Another Nagaline was sitting in that town, conveniently it was Lime-Aid. We were visiting there when this happened. Lavender squirmed from his arms and started playing with Lime-Aid. They became friends that week and by the end of our vacation, Lavender and Lime-Aid were inseparable. Lavender followed us home.

Fear made my mind race in a fury, my eyes became unfoucused and I tripped over an unseen object lying on the floor. Quickly scrambling to my feet I pushed myself up, heart pounding, into another full speed run. It felt like I was on a treadmill... Cashing in all of my energy for nothing. Slowly, everything faded to black as I lost consiousness.

Light filtered in through my squinted eyes. Where am I...? Warmth enveloped me and my eyes adjusted. Everything in this room was pastel or brightly colored. What happened to the darkness? The cold? I froze in place, "A-am I... Dead?" The same giggle from last night reached my ears yet again. "No silly! You're very much alive." Finally I saw it. A dark shillohette turned a light pastel.

"Who are you?" I spoke, recoiling into the corner of the... Matress? I was on a bed...? That haunting giggle again... "I'm Stell! And who might you be?" She seemed to understand that I didn't want to answer, but the expectant look she gave me made me feel like this was not a choice."G-gaia." She smiled happy with the response, "Well Gaia, would you like something to eat?"

I nodded quickly as my stomach growled. She giggled again and scampered off. Minutes later she returned, a tray balanced on her back, "Here, eat up. You'll need the energy." I simply nodded again and took the tray. A small bite and I realized just how much I needed a good meal.

It wasn't much longer that I had scarfed down all of it. "That was amazing!" She smiled, "I'm glad you enjoyed it. Now," she paused her grin looked a tad more sinister. "Why were you in the forest?" I looked down, "I- I can't remember..." Something crossed her face before vanishing completely. "Are you sure about that? You must have some clue." My mind fumbled over it, trying to remember when it hit me. "It was a dare."

Stell look more and more terrifying every word she spoke. "Good girl! I knew you could do it!" Her voice was soft and sweet as she pet my head with one of her paws. "I have some other... Guests to attend to. Please, make yourself at home!" Gaia finally noticed the matted blood on her pelt.

I shot up in a cold sweat, no... I know Stell isn't like that. She's good. The reoccurring nightmare always shakes me tho my core. Stell was good, but the dream is so vivid... It all looked so real... This horrid dream is ruining the beautiful image I have of my dear Stell. It's torture for me. My sweet love could never do such a thing...

Or could she? Did that note on the door tell the truth? Is Stell really a- no! She couldn't be. She's too nice, too sweet, too innocent to ever what the dreams and note implied. She couldn't ever take another's life. I just can't fathom such a fate...
