Small Story:

Rain pelted their jacket, making them almost unbearably cold. The city lights shimmered around them as they walked, loud clanking coming from their duffel bag, a familiar sound that always seemed to follow them. The streets seemed dead, a ghost town, but they knew better. Once you live here long enough you know the ins and outs, the places that thrived while the everyday civilians slept cozily in their apartments. If only they knew what secrets happened right underneath their noses, they would probably run for the hills. But this is home. And it wasn't so bad, long as you know your place on the food chain.
