what is cottagecore?

it revolves around the romanticised idea of cottage life in the countryside or the woods and encompasses things like baking, gardening, reading, farm animals, and picnics! (dazeddigital)

The cottagecore aesthetic includes:

Fairies.
Flower pressings, crowns and bundles.
Gardens of any kind (herb, veggie, fruit, flower).
Farm, forest and domesticated animals.
Vintage crockery, most notably tea sets.
Cottages and farmhouses.
Cross stitch and embroidery.
Baking simple/rustic recipes including bread, muffins, pies etc.
Mostly mushrooms on furniture and glass dishes.
Open fields, flower farms, sunlight through any type of forest/plant. (wiki)

my favourite cottagecore thing/activity: fav cottagecore thing is frogs, cottages (like the houses), plants, flowers, fairies, fields. my #1 favourite is toads/frogs though. i know my profile might not show it but i love cottagecore aesthetic
also: my grandfather's partner lives in a house which has a window that looks exactly like the one in the image! she also has a very pretty garden.

a fact about me: i live our in the english countryside surrounded by farmland and woods!
my favourite cottagecore thing/activity:
definitely embroidery, baking or wandering around the woods with my dog! today we saw some baby rabbits and deer tracks! we haven’t seen deer around for a few months so it was very exciting. i also love to snuggle up with my cats and read 💕✨

also in england here, I used to live in the countryside but have since moved to a more built up area- our countryside is so beautiful though, how lovey ;u;
