Postby Nepeta Lejion » Sat Apr 18, 2020 3:20 pm

(Im pretty late to this but oh, well)
This is a Tyvern egg!All you have to do is let me know if you want to have one, and i can list you :3 (i will close this at the end of the month, but even after ill work to get everyone who applied a Tyvern!)
Since this is an upstart thing, You can apply to help me run the species as a Mod (for the discord server), or official artist!
To apply to be a mod, just put a paragraph in about why you should be a mod and what you will do to help me and other member of this tiny community!
To apply as an Official artist all you have to do is color in a Tyvern, and put in a paragraph of why you want to be an official artist!
A bit of back ground info on Tyverns:

Tyverns are small 5ft tall omnivorous animals that live in herds. Despite their looks, Taverns are related to kangaroos. Tyvern herbs usually consist of 10-20 Taverns with 1 alpha for every ten members. Tyverns spend a lot of time underground, most being nocturnal. They use the long front facing horns to bash rocks and tightly pack dirt walls.
The horn between the eyes is used for scraping out areas. The spikes on the ends of their tails are used for defense, seeing as they can’t fight with their claws when they dig. Tyverns have shown to have the intelligence of humans, maybe smarter.
Tyvern herds are built like wolves, They have Alpha’s beta’s and omega’s.
Alphas are easy to spot. They easily grow to 10ft and their normal feachers tend to be greater than others. (I.E: Longer/bigger spikes, horns, and teeth)
Betas are the ones that will hunt and scavenge for food. Beta’s will also take care of any puplets that are not wanted by their parents.
Omega’s are the heart of the herd. Without Omega’s there is no herd. Omega’s are the only ones that can lay eggs. Despite how some other species that consider omega’s useless. Tyverns praise them as royalty. Because omega’s are the only ones that can lay eggs (no matter the gender) Alpha’s will sometimes mate with more than one if the first omega allows this. (Showing that this species have open polyamory relationships)

Puplets and mates
Tyverns mate for life, and usually have one or two mates, these relationships are called cuplets. Cuplets can expand and allow others to join if the Tyvern with the highest role says so. The largest known cuplet had 5 Tyverns, 2 alphas,2 omegas and 1 beta.
Male Tyverns have a built in pouch on their chests. In that pouch they will hold their puplet(s) until they reach 1 year old. Since the spend a lot of time in that pouch, males will drop food down when eating, kinda like a built in living trash can for food you don't want to eat.

Tyverns are a concept that ive had around for a few years and today i chose to see if anyone else was interested in them!
if you have any questions please ask me ether in pm or in discord!
