He picked this name himself based off of a character from a game that his best friend really enjoyed. He doesn't know his birth name due to being abandoned as a kit. For the longest time, everyone just called him 'Rabbit' because he was a sort of one in a million of starshine rabbits. At first it made him feel abnormal and upset, but eventually he met his best friend with a similar problem, and learned to understand that different is good.

Favorite Easter song: Bunny Day - Animal Crossing New Horizons
He doesn't really consider it an Easter song, since he respects the religious aspect around Easter. He considers the capitalist form of the holiday bunny day, and simply enjoys it due to being able to paint eggs and have a sense of discovering something and being able to keep it.

Zipper has always believed that spring is the time of flowers and rolling around in the grass. This made it clear to most others that he wasn't from space, and that he came from a starshine and some other creature. Being accused of being some sort of hybrid made him upset at one point, but then he came up with the idea that they were just jealous of him, because earth was cool and aesthetically pleasing, and they were stuck in the emptiness of space.

Flashback to his first spring back on earth after his abandonment. He was still young and had trouble with some of the new customs that his best friend was showing him. Flower crowns were one of the most difficult things, unfortunately. It got stuck on his head and he didn't know how to adjust it so that he could see. Eventually they had to settle for a much smaller one. After all, a flower crown that fits on a cow probably wouldn't fit well on a rabbit anyways.


His Two best Friends:
TEXAS and DAVID
Zipper has two best friends, both of which are some of the only starshines he knows which live on earth. Both of them live on this farm with a lot of other creatures, but he's drawn more towards them due to them being starshines in one way or another. It also helps a lot when they're the ones who helped him realize that being different isn't bad, and that just because he was an orphan didn't mean he couldn't have a different kind of family.

Zipper and David are the kind of friends that will be together through thick and thin. David was Zipper's first friend, and the friend that helped him find out a new name for himself. They've been through similar struggles, and it makes it easier for David to comfort Zipper since he's survived those problems and is living proof that Zipper can get through it. Sometimes David has problems too, sometimes wondering if he's too clumsy or if he really is different in a bad way. In that case, Zipper has learned to switch the script, aggressively and caringly yelling at his best friend about how wonderful he is, and using his experience as an example. However, when the emotional stakes aren't too high, sometimes they play Animal Crossing together. David showed it to him before coming back to earth, and Texas' bosses were happy enough to buy Zipper a Switch Lite so that he could play with David on their free time.

Zipper and Texas have a relationship similar to a father and son. Texas has all the wisdom that Zipper needs in his time of need, and Zipper has all the positive energy and knowledge of new things such as technology that he can teach to Texas. Texas is also a sort of beacon of hope to Zipper, as he's a hybrid of not two, but three different species, and is still living his best life out on the farm. Zipper, if asked, would consider Texas to be his father, and you bet your soul that Texas would consider Zipper to be like a son to him.

Backstory and Personality:
Zenebe was born on a rainy, warm spring day, giving credence to his name. Much to his mother's surprise later on, this also seemed to lead to the development of his fascination with playing in the rain, and by extension, the mud, which wasn't always immediately noticeable on his coat until he left small brown footprints everywhere!
Zenebe loves the rain more than anyone he knows - he finds it soothing, and loves to play in puddles, no matter how messy he gets!
Much like spring itself, he's warm and gentle in nature, quick to offer friends a spot of tea or a watercress sandwich [his favorite snack].
He loves birds and can often be found birdwatching; his favorite birds are robins, in part because their eggs are blue, just like his charm!
