the mother is named Sarah Sutherland she had a normal life in her mob, for her quadrant she helped keep everyone's homes tidy and helped prepare the evening meal. Then of course when she was pregnant another kangaroo stepped in to help her out. But when her son was born he was pale, he was the same as any other kangaroo but his fur was lighter. the others didn't trust him, Sarah made sure he didn't fully realize and beat up anyone who said something to his face. Her son grew up feeling a little left out, the other joeys wanted to play with him but their parents told them not to. When he was about a teenager he realized what was happening and ran away. He found a witch named Willow who said she could change his fur to a darker color and start over at a new mob. BUT his pale fur meant that he had an affinity for magic and that terrible things were going to come to pass. He could stand by and do nothing like everybody else, waiting to see what happened. Or he could make a difference, he could be one of the few powerful enough to fight back.
