Silfirth is a creature seen both in Twora and Navoire, one of the few beings shared between the lands of the two countries. Some historians believe this is because that a one point they were actually a single landmass that became fragmented over time due to earthquakes and point towards the string of islands that run between the two countries as evidence. Silfirth is supposedly a guardian of forests and it is supposed that the forests in Navoire and Twora and the islands all were once a single body of trees and she is simply fulfilling her duty as protector of her land with no regards to the borders of countries.
She is rarely encountered, supposedly spending her time deep in the forests were few dare to go, keeping the darker things far from civilization, but if she does need to make contact with mortals then she often takes the form of a horned owl in order to keep her identity secret. But she is well known as one of the least likely immortal beings to injure or harm a mortal not as she is necessarily gentle or kind but mortals simply seem to be outside of her domain.
However it is said that supposedly every few centuries or whenever a world changing chain of events is going to begin she chooses a young mortal to become her tutor and ward and they will become known as the Archivist and it becomes their duty to document whatever events are happening so that the truth of them may not be forgotten.
She is also said to be set over such creatures as the Guide Bird, supposedly lighting the flame in the lantern that it carries at night
