race. some form of ancient creature lurking between the realms of time and space but has adopted human-like forms
racial traits. often mistaken for giant gaseous beings as they shroud themselves in a hazy fog that can be manipulated to their liking, and seeing this kind of beings actual physical body is a sign of trust and respect
the only other time someone will see their true body is when they know something poses no threat to them

personality. they could be mistaken for stoic, but in reality, they're a big ol sweetheart who's just a little shy and still learning about people
history. separated from any semblance of family and left in an unfamiliar dimension filled with other passing monsters makes for an angry upbringing but being shown kindness from another wayward soul made for a welcomed friend. they adopted a human form to match their new friend and followed them when they found out how to escape the cursed place they were trapped in.
