-----This letter arrives on the doorstep of team Kerokero's base one morning. Rib finds it first, of course, and is overjoyed his brother finally (finally!) got a letter, all to himself. He gleefully shoves it in his direction and watches in confused bemusement as Bit’s face turns redder and redder. After a few minutes of silence, Rib looking quizzically at his brother, Bit finally manages to stutter out, “I, I, uh, don’t really know what to do with this- uh, this one, actually.” He covers his face with his tail and shoves the letter in the older twin’s direction.
-----“Oh. Huh,” Rib said, holding in a laugh. “Well, I mean, it’s up to you, isn’t it? She’d certainly make a good addition to our team, she makes a good point about your, uh, timeliness.”
-----“Once I get stuck on something I can’t put it down until it’s done, you know that!” Bit peeked out from behind his tail, indignant.
-----“Yeah, okay, not the point, man.”
-----Bit slid back behind his tail, slightly. “I, I mean, it would be… kinda cool… to have another teammate, right?”

My name is Emmet. You've actually already met me, Conch specifically, but the amount of letters you send I doubt you'd remember.
I've tried really hard for years to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. Your system has helped me send messages to potential employers, but nothing has ever worked out for me. I was in a bit of a bad place, but you guys always came around and chatted to me, even if I didn't have any deliveries. I understand that this probably wasn't for my benefit but to check the mailbox, but nonetheless I really appreciate the talks I got to have with Conch.
I've realised recently that bringing the same opportunities to Pokemon is what I really want to do and, if you'll have me, I'd like to be apart of the Sky Division at Postal Pals.
I totally understand if you don't want me, but I'll work real hard if you take me on.

Sherbert cleared his throat as he finished reading, looking up at his Murkrow companion.
"So? What do you think?"
Conch shook his head softly as though breaking out of a stupor.
"Hmm? Oh, I think we should do it."
"Really?" Sherbert said, dumbfounded, "He admits in his letter that he hasn't got any skill. No one has taken him on, not even the simple jobs, which I'm certain he's tried. And don't get me started..."
As Sherbert continued blabbering, Conch gently took the letter from under his feet and looked it over himself.
"...I'm sure he's a lovely fellow, I just really don't think he'd be a good Postal Pokemon. I don't think the lad has the stamina-"
"Sherbert. Take a breath for me."
Sherbert paused in his monologue, taking a deep breath.
"Sorry. I just... I've got nothing against him. You know I'm always happy to have a new recruit. I'm just concerned that your biases are overshadowing the needs of Pokemon that depend on these letters being sent."
Conch sighed softly. At least he had gotten to Sherberts actual issue.
"I know I can be biased Sher, I've seen first hand. But Emmet here really needs a family, he's all alone out there. You couldn't spare him a job?"
Sherbert groaned. "That's unfair. This lad's ego is as low as it gets. Can you imagine what would happen to him if he failed?"
"I'll take that risk. Can you imagine what would happen if he succeeded? If he can't handle the Sky Division, I'm sure you can find something in Headquarters for him to do." Conch argued, folding the letter up and slipping it into his scarf.
"Alright, you have a point," Sherbert conceded, "go get him. I'll prepare a place for him to sleep."
"Thanks Sher." Conch smiled, making his way to the Sky Division to plan for a long, important flight.

aaaaTaking out the letter from its envelope, a Rockruff started reading before groaning. If it weren't for his fur, the blush underneath would be visible. "Alpha," the Rockruff whined to his guild leader, "I need your help."
aaaaA Shinx glanced the Rockruff, then padded over to him. "What is it, Beta?" he asked, masking with curiosity with a bored tone.
aaaaBeta slid the letter over to his guild leader and the Shinx began reading. Quickly, he understood what his deputy had meant by 'help.'

aaaaThank you so much for bringing me back home! I can't believe I got lost in the forest. Now that I'm thinking about it, I feel so embarrassed. You didn't need to help me, but you did! And the other pokemon - a Shinx, was it? Tell him thanks, too! Both of you could've eaten me with your sharp teeth - I thought you were thieves at first, but you turned out so friendly!
aaaaUm. So I did a bit of research and apparently you're part of a guild? Thank you so much for saving me! You two weren't even on a mission! I left you a good rating on the 'best guilds' poll.
aaaaAnd I was thinking... maybe I could visit you one day? I know we'll probably never see each other again, but I sent an application to join your guild. Accept it? Please?

aaaaThe Shinx barked out a laugh. "Of course not! We don't need lovestruck pokemon in this guild."
aaaa"Oh, thank you," Beta muttered in relief.
aaaaAn idea sparked in Alpha's eyes. "Or actually, we could put her to work in the second sector..."
