It's been a while since I designed anything that didn't have a pre-existing species, so I decided to brush up my skills by creating this alien dude.
Some useless info:
Some useless info:
- •Hair is actually very spikey and hard to style
•Skin is very tough, chest and neck plated in scales with reinforced ribs.
•Large false eye on chest to ward away predators.
•Planet is inhabited by much larger, more dangerous animals so it's rare they get a full meal from hunting down prey animals.
•They have to be quick otherwise the food will be snatched away, so they can eat meat raw, and their mouth extends to their upper chest to gulp down as much food as possible.
•Can subsist for a while on bugs, false eye glows dimly to attract them.
•Three nostrils they can open and close individually.
•Movements are often precise and slow, aiming to conserve as much energy as possible.
•Very small lungs that are the alien's biggest weakness.
•Sharp tail starts at the base of their neck, length ranging their lower back to their heels.
•Narrow pupils can spin at all odd angles and have a hard time adjusting to bright light.
•Tongue is attached to the roof of their mouth.
•Their language is very breathy, often sounding like hisses and sighs, but occasionally you'll hear a few clicks.
Since their lungs are so small this takes a bit of effort, so they don't do it often and rely heavily on body language.
•Females occasionally have more spikes on their back and longer tails than males.
I keep eyeing the ARPGs around here, not knowing exactly how they work, but wanting a space-themed one. I might have to make one myself a little later once I learn more about how they operate.
