why are they so happy/excited?:
Lucas is always very happy and excited, it's just part of his personality.
He has always been more of a "glass half full" type of individual, and it can get quite annoying. No matter what he always sees the good in a situation, and will always try and comfort those who are close to him by telling them how it isn't all that bad.
Lucas gets very, very excited over three particular things; toast, seashells, and orange soda.
He has to eat toast with every meal, and you'll almost always see him sipping on an orange soda. He particularly loves the beach because he can collect seashells, and usually walks down with an empty duffel bag, only to walk back up the slopes with it filled and barely able to zipper.
His house is filled with them, and every time he walks into his room his face lights up with excitement, no matter how often he walks in there. All of his friends always get him seashells and loaves of bread for his birthday and special events, and he couldn't be giddier about it.

why are they so happy/excited?: Benjamin loves travelling around the world, so visiting the Town of Stars shouldn't have excited him so much. The weather and mayor made him feel at home and he couldn't help but join in as a permanent villager, once he moved in he covered all his walls in Polaroid pictures of his travels. Telling stories about places he visited and adventures he's been on makes him and everyone around him light up. Benjamin or Benja (ben-ya) as his friends call him, will take Polaroids of literally everything. Some argue its a waste of film, but he cant help but want to cherish every memory he encounters.

first off, I'd like to say that everyone had such lovely forms! but I can only choose one winner, and that person would be cactusgum.!
I like the personality you gave Lucas and tbh I giggle at the thought of his friends getting loaves of bread for his birthday and him being all excited about it! I just found it so charming!
