Cinnabar would first judge the situation. Is the pinned cat someone known to cause trouble or someone that he dislikes? He probably would wait until it was absolutely necessary to let them learn their lesson. Because what fool goes out into the forest alone if they weren't looking for trouble?

He'd fight off the enemy by their side but would they have an earful of the dangers of going out alone.

Now if it was a respected cat or someone he likes, he would not hesitate to launch himself into the fight. If the enemy cat wasn't in any sort of Clan, he would forsake the code and fight with his claws. No one messes with his clanmates without taking home a painful reminder.

After the enemy was driven off, he would crack some jokes in order to make his clanmate feel better. He'd probably take them hunting to get their mind off of it and tell anyone who asked about their wounds that they wanted a real spar for training and they got out of hand.

I wonder if he realizes how stupid he looks when he smiles.
He's attempting to carry an air of kindness.
I'm his first apprentice. He's been talking about how excited he was to be a mentor since he became a warrior.
It is that kind of offsetting smile on his face that makes me shiver. I can't stand him already. I've already deduced him as stupid, but he hasn't picked up on it.
He's still speaking to me.
"So? What do you think?"
I do not reply to him for a while. I like when the air turns sour.
But Rockpelt has stopped because he's spotted something.
"Stay there!" He yells. His voice tries to sound demanding.
Ahead of me he charges, barreling into a brown and white cat. A kitten, younger than me.
The kitten screams under his claws, writhing like crazy. "Let me go!"
Rockpelt narrows his eyes. "You're not a clancat, are you?"
"No! Let me go, beast!" The cat screams.
I inch towards it. It is a cowardly, skinny thing. Rockpelt's paw pads may get cut on it's bones, sticking out of it's torn fur.
"You're... you're just hungry, aren't you?" Rockpelt asks. His voice is full of concern now, his tone sweet and caring, understanding even.
Ugh. Vomit.
"I... yes..." The kitten's eyes soften. It understands Rockpelt won't hurt him.
Suddenly I get an idea.
"Rip his eyes out!" I yell.
Rockpelt turns to me in horror.
"It's intruding on our territory! Teach it a lesson!" I put on a smile, as menacing as possible.
The kit begins to scream in horror. "No! No! Don't!"
"L-lichenpaw, it's a kit!" Rockpelt's voice falters.
"So? It should know better! Make it bleed! So it won't come back!"
Rockpelt's eyes are filled with such a horrid look of renounding dissapointment, he lets the kit go, in shock.
It flees from under him and bolts away, faster than I'd ever seen.
I sigh. Of course, it was all an act. But Rockpelt didn't know that. He is just staring at me now, in disbelief.
"L-lichenpaw..."
He looks down to his paws. I know I've done something to him.
"I don't think I'm fit to be your mentor..."
He just looks at the floor. His heart seems broken.
I smile. For real this time.
He won't try to be my friend ever again.

When Hawksnow was an apprentice of another clan, she went on a patrol with her mentor, Snipwhisker. A kitty-pet stumbled across the border while the two were out, and Hawksnow's life was never the same again.

Snipwhisker raced at the unknowing kitty-pet, slashing at them with unsheathed claws. "Hurry! I'll pin her down, you get to rake her across the back!" The apprentice's mentor didn't hesitate to hurt the helpless cat, but Hawksnow wasn't Snipwhisker. She took a hesitant step forward, but quickly declined, shaking her head. "I can't do it. I will always be loyal to my clan, but attacking some simple harmless cat is NOT what I signed up for."

Her mentor got up, but quickly turned around and killed the kitty-pet. He dragged Hawksnow from her paws, throwing her to the body. Snipwhisker leaned in close, and whispered in her ear. 'How unfortunate, you killed the helpless thing. Look at the blood staining your paws.' He chuckled softly.

Hawnsnow backed away. "But I didn't do anything! Y-you killed that cat!" She whimpered. Another chuckle from Snipwhisker. "Ah, yes. And that is why they died. Because you didn't do anything.

It was all her fault
