[From the perspective of Dawnstar]

Dawnstar yawned as the morning sun shined on her eyes. She stood to her paws and stretched for a while before stepping out of the leaders' den. Immediately she was 'greeted' by Serpentsight, a warrior of Autumnclan.

"Hey, Dawnstar. I have a question," Serpentsight spoke with obvious worry in her voice. "That new cat we brought into Autumnclan, you said she was your sister, yeah?"

Dawnstar nodded. "Yes," she began. "We were split up as kits after the destruction of our birth clan. Why do you ask? You seem a bit anxious."

"Yeah, I am anxious," Serpentsight said, walking closer to Dawnstar. "Bumblekit told me that last night, Mistyheart told her she had kits of her own at one point."

"Really? She didn't tell me that when I found her."

"Well," Serpentsight started hesitantly. "That might be because she told Bumblekit she didn't have enough food to feed them so she, you know, 'got rid' of them."

Dawnstar stared at the warrior in front of her in disbelief. "That can't be true. Mistyheart isn't like that."

"I don't know," the warrior said. "I mean, you haven't seen her since you two were kits yourselves. If what Bumblekit told me is true, I don't want Mistyheart around the kits at all. Any mother who would do things like that is just," she paused. "Disgusting." Serpentsight sighed. "True or not, I think you should talk to her. Word is spreading faster than wildfire." The warrior walked away, leaving Dawnsrar alone.

Dawnstar looked around and saw Mistyheart walking through the middle of the clans' camp, her head hanging low and her tail dragging along the ground. She also saw the looks the other clan cats were giving her. Each cat she walked by gave a look of anger and disgust. Everyone had to have known at this point. Everyone seemed to have believed it, too. Dawnstar shook her head. She knew her sister. She knew Mistyheart wouldn't do something like that. There was more to this story. Information was missing. Dawnstar had to talk to her sister and find out the full story.

"Hey, Mistyheart!" Dawnstar called to her sister as she ran over. The two walked together into the forest. Dawnstar was determined to find out the truth.

Eclipsemoon sat with her brother and sister under the shade of the bushes that surrounded the camp. Their eyes passing over the clearing, watching the afternoon dealings of the camp. A sharp glare from Lynxstep made the three turn their heads in and talk.
The whispers around camp hurt the poor she-cat more than anyone could tell. The story of her parents and where they were from. How she was able to things only known to be done by Eclipsemoon. The pressure that she was under to not let her new home see through her façade.
She knew though. They had trained together. She had been the one that Eclipsemoon had to beat in order to get to where she needed to be. Lynxstep was labeled dead among the ranks, but Eclipsemoon had held onto her warrior training and let her live. Eclipsemoon had told her siblings and mate stories about her, and how she had hoped that she ran away when she had the chance and wasn’t found.
The grey cat nodded to Eclipsemoon, while she just continued to stare, the voices of her siblings drowned out by thoughts. She was here now, and no one knew what that would spell for Eclipsemoon, let alone Lynxstep. Would she try to get her revenge?

POV: shiningpaw, flintpaw & some npc apprentices

The apprentices of Shatteredclan were hidden deep in the forest in their own little hollow, an escape from the serious warriors of Shatteredclan, and what started as a funny conversation had devolved into a ferocious debate. "She's not anyone's kit", Flintpaw whisper-screamed into Dawnpaw's face. "Hey, don't yell at her", Darkpaw shot back smacking Flintpaw nose. He yelped and was hushed by a multitude of hisses from the others until Bravepaw cut in, "Okay, so we know she came here a few moons ago which makes Flintpaw right she can't be anyone's kit". Flintpaw stood a little taller looking smugly at Darkpaw who stuck her tongue out in response.

"Whiteout isn't from the clan", Dawnpaw interjected looking a little lost. "I... I don't think so, I mean I didn't see her around until a few moons ago", Bravepaw said starting to doubt her former confidence. "If she isn't from the clan where is she from then", Darkpaw mused stretching and laying down on the forest floor. "Maybe she's from our enemy the dreaded Elkclan", Flintpaw said pouncing on Darkpaw who yelped kicking at him furiously. "Don't be ridiculous if she was from that place she wouldn't be helping us fight them, besides why would you leave your birth clan, none of us would", Dawnpaw said glaring at Flintpaw for messing. She looked less intimidating and more like a fluff ball trying to be scary.

"That rules out Songclan too", Bravepaw pointed out, "she could maybe be a kitty pet". "A fighter like that, there's no way she's from one of the plush warm two-leg dens, and those are really far away", Flintshine said joining the rest of the apprentices lounging on the floor. "Actually that sounds plausible, maybe she came from the place where the two legs live", Darkpaw shot back, "if she came from that far she was probably exhausted and if a patrol found her she would've been in no position to fight our warriors off". "Maybe starclan just dropped her out of the sky", Shiningstripe said absent-mindedly batting at a flower. "That's just ridiculous", Bravepaw said scrunching up her face. "You don't know that, I've seen her fight when I was with Wolfheart on patrol, she's like a riled-up badger", Shiningstripe said grinning. "We could just ask her you know instead of sitting here guessing about it", Darkpaw pointed out to the dumbfounded faces of her peers.

It can't be as they say, right? He really can't be quiet all the time, can he? How could he?

Cocoa couldn't wrap her head around what the others were saying about their new Healer. Her eyes were scrunched in confusion as she heard the others walking towards their dens, chatting about the new cat's aversion to speaking. "It's a little strange that he wouldn't talk to us", they murmured, just loud enough for Cocoa to hear from her spot at her den's entrance. "I wonder how Wildfire was able to get his name out of him? He's going to be a bad Healer, if he won't talk."

This sounded like a job for Cocoa. She could get everyone to talk.

She would find him in the Healer's den, she was sure. It was across the camp, but that didn't matter - she had to find out if the rumors were true or not.

"Hello?" She called in, ears alert for any sounds of shuffling. Eyes blinked at her in the darkness, a spot of light among the shadows. It nearly caught her off guard; they were so bright!

This must be Jasper, then. He tilted his head questioningly, appraising Cocoa. She realized he probably thought that she was hurt.

"Sorry," she said quickly, "I'm not hurt or anything. I just need to know something... are you really mute?"

Jasper's eyes widened in shock, staring at Cocoa for a few moments of silence, seemingly thinking that she was joking. Cocoa continued to stare at him, waiting for an answer.

Jasper let out a sigh, shaking his head slightly.

"If you're not mute, how come you won't speak?"

Another sigh, and a roll of his eyes. Cocoa frowned, but she appreciated that he wasn't afraid to give her sass. "I lost my voice," he rasped, his voice painful, almost like a frog's croak.

"Oh."
