Phae have magical abilities due to being born from compressed moonrocks, stardust, sun rays, or comet debris. However, some phae have lost these abilities due to being bred through milleniums worth of generations. Some had mutations which caused the mana in their bodies to dwindle to almost nothing, and when these bred with each other they became more common. While there is a very, very small trace of magic left in them, it is not enough to align them with any element or allow them to use any magical abilities. Often the magic-less will choose an alignment to guide themselves by, even though they can’t technically harness it.
