prompt Serafina trotted along calmly, humming to herself. Suddenly, she trips, almost falling or doing a small little flip. She quickly caught herself and she looked at the ground below her. She had landed in mud! She begins to laugh at herself and starts playing in the mud, jumping around happily. She sees a small creek and walks to it. She looks at her reflection and sees all the mud on herself. She smiles and jumps in the creek, playing and running around joyfully in the water.

As a pup, Lacey was always the most energetic of the litter. She absolutely loved everything and everyone! Her mother belonged to one of my friends, and when she found out her little girl was about to be a mama, she told me that one of the pups would belong to me. I had been looking for a new pup for quite some time, and this just lined up perfectly!
The day came when I went to go look through the remaining pups in the litter. Quite a few of the pups had already been adopted out, but three cute little girls still needed a fur-ever home. I sat down on the couch to pet one of them, and as I bent over to pick her up to place her on the couch with me, one of the other little furballs ran at me, full speed, with no intention to stop until she hit me. Since I was bent over looking down, I didn't see her coming, so when she took off, planning to hit me to stop, I was no longer in the same spot she was aiming for... With her speed and excitement, she took a giant leap toward me. Without me to stop her, she ended up flying over the couch and smacking into the window behind me...
My friend watched this entire ordeal play out and all she could say was, "Ahh not again Lacey...."
I looked up at her and said, "... Again?! This has happened before!?"
She awkwardly replied, "She's done the exact thing with two potential adopters already..."
From that moment, I knew that Lacey was destined to be mine. The goofball that was quite literally ready to throw herself head first into my life.
[This story actually happened when I went to adopt my little girl Voodoo... although it was her brother Odie that hit the window, and my sister that was bent over. Thankfully he was fine XD

Now, here she stood on the backseat of her handler's car, looking down at the strange white substance on the ground below. The wind blew strong in this Colorado valley, and she was very thankful her handler had bought her a sweater during a pit stop in southern California. She was used to the desert and heat, but they'd relocated to a new home when their previous kennel had shut down due to money problems. Gladys had definitely not been prepared for this much of a climate change, that was for sure. As her owner tried to slowly coax her down so they could get inside their new home, Gladys began inching down towards the frigid ground, mentally preparing herself before she finally took the leap and jumped down.

There wasn't enough time in the world to prepare her for the shock of that freezing snow.

Suddenly the most composed, graceful, and elegant dog the world had ever known let out a sharp yelp of surprise, leaping almost 6 feet straight up in surprise. In seconds Gladys barreled through the ankle-height snow towards the nearby cabin, leaping up onto the snow-free porch faster than her handler could blink. Suddenly the human woman burst out laughing, clutching her stomach at the events that just unfolded and the resulting glare Gladys was giving her. As she grabbed the bags from her trunk, she hurried to let Gladys inside where it was warm. The Senegal bolted for the fireplace and immediately curled up in front of it; the snow would definitely take a very long time to get used to. If she ever did.
