How are they linked to adopt #41?: Vulcan and Athena are linked through an odd connection through their hearts.
What is their relationship to adopt #41?: Vulcan and Athena have what you might call a 'complicated' relationship. He knows, somewhere in his dark fiery heart, that he might've fallen for this kind-hearted girl but he refuses to act on it and pushes it down, suppressing his feelings. He does some little things subconsciously like look to her for reassurance when he's unsure, think about her when he's feeling alone or down, and he stares at her when she's not looking, admiring her. He thinks she's oblivious to how he feels and hopes it to stay that way, mainly because of his fear of rejection.
How do they feel about being linked to adopt #41?: Vulcan was not pleased in the beginning and didn't expect it. He was scouting out his escape route up to the surface of the planet, somewhere he could disappear and never be found by anyone until, with all his luck, he ran into an angel. She offered to help him and smuggle him into Heaven, and although he was wary, he was desperate enough. He had a tight feeling in his chest whenever he was around her, it felt so... light and sweet and it made him uncomfortable. After he made his grand escape, he couldn't wait to ditch the fool. But his grand escape and trip to Heaven did not go as planned. They were caught early on in their operation and the whole of Heaven looked down on them as they were shunned. Athena was cast to the Earth, now under the title of the fallen angel, and Vulcan was hurled down after her. He was about to run from her and leave to go on his own, but as he began walking he looked back at her and a pang in his heart made him feel as though it wasn't the right decision, especially after he just got her booted from Heaven. Eventually, later on, they discovered their connection and Vulcan accepted it. He didn't love it, but after getting to know Athena more, he didn't mind it. Sometimes he was glad to have someone who makes him feel like an actual person, someone who could look up to him.
Are they similar to adopt #41 in any way?: They truly could not be any more different. Vulcan is cold and bitter, not to mention probably one of the biggest pessimists to ever exist. It's hard to have such a good outcome in life when you've been in the depths of Hell for who knows how many years. On the other hand, Athena is sweet and draws you in with her kindness.

As odd and unbelievable as it sounds, it seems that the pair share an unexplainable connection of heart.
What is their relationship to adopt #42?:

Athena and [#42] share a very close, unbreakable bond. Although they aren’t sure what to call each other. Athena has fallen for her partner’s charm, but she doesn’t know wether he feels the same; and even if he does, the sweet feline is completely oblivious to it. Athena wears her heart on her sleeve, and doesn’t even try to hide her admiration for the lion. She’ll often times lay on him as he sleeps and bury her muzzle in his thick mane, though he doesn’t seem to be a fan of it as she wakes him from his naps, she’ll catch herself watching him every so often; admiring his regal beauty.
How do they feel about being linked to adopt #42?:

Athena quite likes the connection, though she was pretty wary in the beginning.
It was like every other day for Athena; making her daily rounds, protecting earth from the underworld’s minions. She had cake across Vulcan making an escape, usually she would act hostile and aggressive with a confrontation, but something felt different about the lion. And, of course, she listened to her heart and offered to smuggle the lion into her home; heaven. It was a risk, but she believed that [almost] anyone deserves to be treated equal. Not far into the operation- they were caught. Athena had her grand wings ripped away from her and was sent to earth under the title of a fallen angel, Vulcan not far behind. Nearly broken after being booted from her home, she just needed someone to lean on for the time being. She had a gut feeling that Vulcan would most likely leave her after this- but to her surprise he didn’t. Vulcan provided a shoulder for her to lean on until she got her life back together. Soon, after she came to terms with being a fallen angel her and Vulcan discovered the bond they shared of heart. She wasn’t sure how to feel about it at first, but she learned to enjoy it. Athena liked the feeling of being protected, and the feeling of having someone to, finally, look up to.

Are they similar to adopt #42 in any way:

Besides being the same species, the pair seem to be polar opposites. He’s a cold, merciless lion, while Athena is a sweet, merciful lioness. Though one thing they seem to have in common is that the both of the have good intentions, at least that’s the way it seems.
