I'm not even an artist, so I don't know what compelled me to suddenly open the Oekaki yesterday, lol.
My university archaeology class went to the Thames foreshore the other day to go mudlarking, or hunting for artefacts. I found a bunch of animal bones, old rusted nails, some shards of ancient pottery, and a buttload of old clay smoking pipes from around the 18th and 19th centuries. I also accidentally picked up the tiniest crab ever along with my other findings. It was a super interesting trip, and even though it was overcast, rainy, and cold, I had a good time, and my classmates did too.
We also went to an art workshop for art history class, where we looked at some perspective stuff. I guess I'm just playing around with the scant few perspective skills I picked up in ninth grade, lol.
Drawing in the Oekaki is pretty relaxing. I might decide to draw more later.
