North staggered limply through the forest, drenched in sweat. His eyes, glittering orbs of pain, cast a light in front of him, green like the freshest grass. He clenched his teeth as his bleeding paw was impaled by yet another stick, jagged and sharp, like splintered glass. He searched the humid forest for a patch of dirt, a small clearing of leaves, anything that he could lie down on. Finally, he spotted a small area that seemed good enough to rest on. As he neared, the acrid scent of rotting prey filled his nostrils, and he batted at his face. Of course, that sent a bolt of pain through his paw. North yelped weakly, his tail shuddering as struggled to stay upright. After he caught his breath, he heaved himself eagerly toward the pile of surprisingly soft leaves. He set his hurt paw tenderly on the pile, and using his good paw, cleared out a small nest. He nestled in and shrugged an itchy leaf off his shoulder blade, which jutted out at an odd angle. His wounds pulsed painfully, and he had to close his eyes to be able to withstand it. Now, as he was tucked nicely into the leaves, his mind began to wander.
Why had he done it? After all, the she-cat had merely won his heart. That didn't mean she deserved to switch with North. Be sent to a place where things were so much better. Have him die so she could inhabit the embers of his life and live her own. She had done bad before. A lot of bad. Why had he been so stupid? There was nothing for him here except pain and suffering. Never mind the injuries he had sustained trying to get her to be alive again. Love wasn't a sure thing; a long and happy life was, however. At least, it used to be. North had no idea if he'd be able to go back. Probably not. He'd just done something completely forbidden.
Anxiety bubbled in his hollow chest as he thought of what the she-cat would do. He'd fallen in love because of her evil charm, quick wit, and wild thoughts. Who knew what she could do when in a land full of live, good cats? Another flame of torturous pain seared through his body, and he took in a ragged breath as his paw pulsed again, hungry for a second of normalcy. Nothing seemed right in this forest. And even though he was here because of the cat he fell in love with, he also knew that it had something to do with the "not right" growing inside of him.

Cat Name;; Briarpelt (Deceased)

Age;; 44 Moons
Clan;; GladeClan

The rumors spread like wildfire, an eruption of fear rippling through the clan. Briarpelt was only a kit at the time - but it was said he was a curse. The way he moved, he talked, each twitch of his ear or flick of his tail caused the whole clan to stir. He put all his determination into changing that. Selflessness, kindness, working hard to become a good warrior - whatever he could manage. Eventually, the whole clan had forgotten the traumatic rumors of a curse. Instead, Briarpelt was amazingly popular. He stayed like that. Happy, having fun with friends. Spending time with his mate. He even had kits, if you count that. One day, he padded into camp, only to find tension pulsing through the air. His mate rushed forward, concern displayed on her face.
"Brairpelt - you know the warrior that died recently?" His mate mewed in a hushed tone.
"Yes, what about it?"
"Cats are saying you killed that cat," Briarpelt watched his mate as she finished the sentence, scanning her eyes. Did she believe this? He cast a glance to the warrior's den, only to find glares and suspicious stares thrown his way. They wanted evil? He'd give them evil.
Briarpelt stared at the camp, the moon casting an eerie glow on the floor of the camp. If they wanted evil, he would do that. Forget the persona, forget the determination, he would show his true colors if they wanted him to. He padded to the nursery, eyes landing on his mate and kits. He slowly leaned forward, picking up the kits by the scruff. Only two, sadly. It had pained Briarpelt when they were born. His mate stirred but did not wake. With a blank stare, Briarpelt slashed a claw across his mate's throat. Hurrying out the camp, Briarpelt dropped the kits near the snake's territory, placing each paw with care.
Briarpelt stared in disbelief. His features twisted in sadness. They assumed he'd killed his mate? His own mate? Sure he did, but they couldn't know. The protests tired him, though, and he felt the need to give up. So he did. His features were dark, and a smirk played on his lips. He admitted he killed his mate, yes, but he wouldn't reveal what happened to the kits. They 'sneaked' out, and got bit by snakes! It was a convincing story, correct? His thoughts were interrupted by a warrior dragging how out of the camp and throwing him into the dirt. Claws dug into his spine, pain rippling through his muscles as a claw was sliced down his belly.
