A map of the territories for my rp, The Collision. A dog/wolf rp located in the white mountains of New Hampshire (More so the location is inspired by it and not exactly it). This is not in range per se but a general breakdown of the locations/terrane.
Highlands= Wolf territory. It contains the land north (West in this picture) of the Dividing river. It is a mostly mountainous, rocky, and forested area. The ground here is harder and vegetation is limited to shrubs and thick tree lines. The territory borders at the Dividing river.
Dust baths= Located at the base of the mountain. This area is mostly rock and dust with little to no vegetation. The perfect place to take a dust bath to cool off or kill bugs.
Wolf cave= The wolf pack's camp. It is located upon the mountainside in the form of a deep natural cave.
Dividing river= Separates the two territories. It begins up in the highlands and runs for many miles. Both pack's main source of fresh water. It is a fast-moving river that can be very treacherous to cross. During the winter it often freezes over.
Lowlands= Dog territory. It contains the land south (East in this picture) of the Dividing river. It is a low lying plains/Vally area. It has vast valleys of grass and stand-alone trees.
Gorges= There are two main gorges in the territory. The one closest to the camp is small enough to become a small watering hole after storms. They dry up quickly and are usually just barren craters in the land. The larger of the two is a dangerous drop off than never really fills with water and can be a deadly trap to those unaware of its depth.
Dog Glade= The dog pack's camp. A grove of trees protecting the dogs from sight and predators. The grove is surrounded by thick foliage and hides a clearing with numerous dens inside.
