With her heart murmur, Flutterheart takes great care to calm down. What works best for her is descending to the lowest levels of the cliffs, once the water has retreated from high tide, and basking in the cool pools left behind. Everything is dark and quiet, and the quiet woosh of the ocean calms her mind. The water is near frigid, a blessing in the sweltering summers, and leaves her smelling of stone and sea spray. Her pulse decreases, and her heart regulates itself with more ease.

redwind let her paws carry her as fast as she could go without collapsing. she needed to get away from it all - from everything. she skidded to a stop at the edge of the beach and collapsed under the shallow water, closing her eyes tight to keep the salt out. with a sigh, she let the small waves push her around, tug at her fur, and she listened to their quiet crashing - drowning out all of her worries, calming her down.

but eventually, one must come up for air.

Not many truly see when Nimbus is overwhelmed. He tends to not show his stress levels, wanting to remain easygoing and good-natured in every cats' eye. While he doesn't get flighty or jittery when he's anxious or stressed, Nimbus does get very irritated at every little thing and needs his alone time.

He has the perfect spot for being alone as well - a field of lavender. The soft scent is soothing, allowing Nimbus to close his eyes and remember that everything will work out in the end. When he is ready to open his eyes, the gentle shade of the flowers reminds him that there will always be spots of brightness in a darker world, even if it doesn't always feel like it.

The lavenders will always help him calm down.

Stepmoon hissed as he stalked out of camp. Hivestar is always SO ANNOYING and he wished he could just SCRATCH HIS NOSE to show him his ANGER. He continued hissing and cursing about Hivestar as his paws automatically led him to the Moonhives. He instantly calmed.
Speak to the bees. They will talk to you about your problems, the voice inside his head whispered. He nodded to the voice and padded over to the first and main hive, Honeybee Hive. The queen bee flew out of the hive and spoke to him. The queen could sense that something was wrong, and she asked him about it. He explained how Hivestar was always bossy mcbossypants even though Stepmoon was older than him. The queen just nodded along to his story.
"What should I do?" he asked the bee.
"Talk to him." she said to him. "Tell him the way you feel."
Stepmoon nodded warily. "Whatever you say, queen."
He waved to the queen and to all the hives as he woke up in the ring of hives. (176)
