Errr, any tips for drawing in cS?

Postby -SilverLining- » Tue Jul 23, 2019 2:42 am

Oekaki hates me? Well, lmbo.. it’s difficult to draw an entire body in one small layout and whenever my lines get too small I have to go over them once more just to darken the lighter parts of the line art.

Maybe it’s just the fact I do like a great deal of detail but it doesn’t work too well for oekaki for me atleast?
You tell me! ;w;

Soooo... err,
Tips? (if so please tell me, I need the tips majorly hhh-)

if you find the lineart too light you can change the opacity in the brush settings.

Thanks a lot!! UwU I do find it difficult even when it’s too it’s fullest opacity to even match that of the thicker line art tho, any ideas there? :’)

maybe try a larger brush? i'm not sure, since i myself am a tablet artist, and i can just press down harder for thicker lines. it's been ages since i've drawn with a mouse or trackpad. in your drawing here i don't see any problems with the lines ^^

Oekaki has a larger canvas size available, if that would help.
Just select the button that says "New larger size (50% bigger!)" when you go to create a new drawing.

Honestly, the best way to improve at using Oekaki is to spend time using it. Experiment with new tools, layer types, etc., and see what you can do! You'll get the hang of it eventually, don't worry.
