★ Prompt- It's biggest fear: Kitsune is a dragon who acts hard and tough on the outside, but deep inside has feelings and fears, just like the rest of us. When he was just a little hatchling, he was playing outside of the den near the hills, chasing butterflys and stalking mice, as many young hatchlings do. His caretakers were sitting nearby, but they weren't paying much attention, as they were busy chatting with one another. He evantually slipped further and further away from them, chasing small animals, until he came upon a mysterious hole in the ground. It reeked of an animal he had never smelt before, and, although he knew he shouldn't, curiousity overtook him, and he went into explore. suddenly, a bark echoed through the tunnel and a long, pointed nose poked out at him. He squealed and ran, the animal in hot pursuit. It was almost upon him when a drake swooped overhead and snatched the creature up. It barked growled, but was no match for the full grown dragon. His caretaker swooped back down after dispatching the beast, and held him tight.

"I'm so sorry," She whispered, her voice full of guilt. Kitsune sniffled and pulled closer to her. Ever since that day he has had a fear of foxes, even though they are no threat to him now, he worries for all the hatchlings that may stray too far. He acts brave on the outside, but a deep seated fear of the orange beasts haunts him to this day.
