So this is kinda what I work with during the summers, or just a part of it except from the bird rehabilitation centre. I climb up to certain birds nests, bring the chicks down, and let a certificated bird-marker take their measures, decide genders and give them all individual numbered rings on their legs. Then I'll bring them back up. This is important work in order to see how the chicks later will spread and identify the age of the birds when found alive or deceased. My grandpa have one of these nests on his grounds and get almost a yearly update on where all the chicks have been spotted all around the world, it's really fun! And no worries about human smell, it's actually a myth, birds sense of smell is terrible. The parents always circle around and are happy as soon as we return the chicks.

Note: Do NOT attempt this yourself if you have no experience in bird-handling, or a certified bird-marker in your party. If you climb too early you may disturb the bird's roosting and can destroy the whole batch of chicks. As well do not climb these heights without safety equipment, it's dangerous work!
And I know, George’s torso in incredibly lanky, i did not have the energy to fix it :’)
