Sugarbears are named and created after my dad. He would always call me Sugarbear, and occasionally still does. Stuffed animals have been one of the biggest things in my life, and still are. He gets them for me and I love him, so this is for him. To always remember him, I love you Dad <3
Sugarbears had originally been created in the late 40's by a very wealthy family. The family at first seemed fairly normal, a mother, a father, 3 children and a dog who weared fancy clothing, went to parties, and had so much money they could probably buy all of the fast food restraunts in their city with change to spare. If you looked deeper into the family, something seemed a little, off. They seemed to be very interested in ghosts, and it had turned out the family were only ghosts, and they had all originally passed away about 20 years earlier. They had taken lost spirits and had put them into the Sugarbears, where the toys could be a vessel. Yet, some of the Sugarbears seemed to be more, chaotic than others. Since it seemed the family took whatever spirits they could find and with no background check would put them into a bear, some of them had been more evil. They would frame the child for small things like breaking a plate or feeding the dog their dinner, and had a scarier appearance. The nicer spirits had acted like any other toy, and if the child were good to them, would even do some of the chores for the child.
The industry ended up vanishing from thin air only 10 years later, Sugarbears had stopped their development and they were considered vintage items only 5 years after this. It seemed the spirits of the toys had left their vessels, whether they went to the Spirit World or kept travelling is still unknown. Only recently have Sugarbears become popular again, it seemed the spirits of the tree children from the original family had possessed a Spirit Bear, and are now creating more Sugarbears once again.
