The blue pup walked down the ally scared and terrified. He was alone. No mother. No father. No siblings. No friends. Alone. That what he was. He was unsure how he was going to make it. He was determined to survive but he knew that he wasn't strong, he wasn't bright, he wasn't very brave, he wasn't confident, and he was very clutzy.
He was the square block that fell right through the round hole. He sighed at the thought as he blindly continued down the ally as the sun cast a glimmering light from behind tall buildings giving an effect of a sunset. "AH!!!!" the pup squealed as something leaped up in front of him.
There standing in a crouching position on a makeshift pedestal grinning with mischief in his eyes was one of the most feared animals in the broken city ruled by strays and diseased rodents. "Lookie what I found? A little runt without a Mommy?" the feared beast move his head down closer to the scared pup, "So what happen? Did'ja get dared to enter my ally? Or were you trying to put on a brave act and thought that you weren't scared of me?"
The pup shivered and gulped before he stuttered a response to the impatient dog in front of him who was intrigued by this intruder, "N-no, I-I wasn't p-paying attention and I... Uh-um... I'm sorry. H-heh..."
He took another hard swallow as he watched the older male pondered on his trembling response. The grin on the yellow dog had disappeared as so as the amusement in his eyes as he semi-glared at the blue pup as looked directly into the pup's red eyes searching for any signs of a lie. The pup stood paralyzed and afraid as that stayed in silence.
Suddenly the yellow dog jumped from his pedestal and onto the small pup. The pup yelped as he laid on his back staring up at the yellow maned dog. The maned dog smirked down at the pup, "I believe you kid. But unfortunately that doesn't excuse your circumstances. Now what should I do? Rip you to pieces, skin you and place your pelt outside of my ally to show others what will happen to them if they dare try to walk into my ally?!"
Pup shivered as he gritted his teeth biting back the urge to break down. The yellow dog snorted then wickedly grin; the pup glanced up at the maned dog only seeing his big muzzle. "But then again? How nice would that be to my guest?"
The blue pup blinked several times in confusion. The yellow dog turned and started walking down the ally. The pup rolled onto his stomach and watched the yellow dog not sure of what to do. 'Should I run?' he asked himself in his mind. A voice with neutral emotion called to him, "Coming? 'Cause I don't think your missing your legs? At least not yet." The yellow dog crackle at the last part as he continued his way to his hideout.
The pup hesitated but decided it was probably a good idea to accept this offer of rare kindness even if it's from the most dangerous mongrel that has ever stepped his foot into this city of murderous mutts and diseased infested streets.
