What I noticed first was the heat; overwhelming and inescapable. It made me sweat so much my fur was drenched and allowed no relief. Next was the smoke; thick and black, it made me cough and cough until I couldn't breathe at all. It pooled at the ceiling of the cave that I slept in until it built up enough to seep past the opening, like water that opposed gravity. Out past the cave entrance, bright, orange light danced around the trees, eating away at them until they fell. That's what I noticed next, the loud crashing of the trees as they fell, the splintering of branches, and a crackling sound that came from the light. Then the feeling of hair standing up on the back of my neck and rocks piling up in my stomach; fear, of what, I don't know. But I know in my gut that this light is not safe. I try to make a run for it, but the cave entrance is dangerously close to this hot light and the fallen trees it consumes and I am afraid it would consume me as well, if it got the chance. Quickly and carefully, I make it out of the cave and run away from this devastating scene as fast as my legs will carry me. What I notice last is what I despise the most; the cause of this destruction, this light that dances as though it celebrates the chaos, it looks just like me.

I think flowing river is actually currently at capacity so he can't be officially in that pack until I level up but I'm about to finish the requirement and I'll definitely be at the next level by the end of the day. c:
