Dippingbranch's most common dream, as in a dream you have when you sleep, is that of being chased by a blood-thirsty rabbit through the trees with braking branches. She can hear the branches creaking under her and hear them swaying, can hear the harsh breath of the rabbit. She always ends up falling, and wakes just before she hits the ground. Fun, right?

Dippingbranch knows exactly why she has this startling dream, and rarely elaborates on it, but if she had to, she would probably tell you this:

"This dream comes from my past, I guess. I have never actually been chased by a rabbit through trees - that would be absurd. But there was a tom named Rabbit who ruined my life when he murdered my sister in cold blood. When I ran from the scene, to shocked at what he had done, he pinned the blame on me, and then followed me, trying to kill the only evidence of his crimes.

"I climbed a tree, not my smartest moment, and ran up there. Rabbit was much clumsier in the trees than I, and I ended up losing him after endless branches had seemed to go by beneath my paws. Once I was safe, I collapsed on the ground after climbing down, and soon found GullClan. I guess I have that dream often because I'm worried Rabbit will return, or bring an army to destroy GullClan. It's silly of me, I know, but I can't help my imagination."

Bearlight's most common bear for his future is of becoming a respected mentor and father. He has a passion for younger cats and teaching them, so this brown furred warrior constantly dreams of this state where he is both a good father and a respected and loved mentor. He is slightly discouraged, however, because his current apprentice, Bristlepaw, dislikes him. Bristlepaw says Bearlight is the worst mentor he could've been given, and constantly tries to get Briarstar to reassign him a new mentor. Briarstar doesn't follow his request though, as she sees no reason to.

Bearlight wants to be a good father because his father wasn't. As a kit, the brown warrior was alone with his mother and siblings and she struggled to care for them, leading to the death of most of his siblings. Bear and one of his sisters were the only ones who survived and were picked up by a human who was camping and taken to a human town where they were fed and taken care of. Bear's mother wasn't with them though, she was left in the woods because the human thought she was too weak and sick to cure, and too ugly.

Bear wants to be everything others weren't to him, and this is the biggest and only real dream in his life. He wants to be a good father to multiple litters of kittens and a good mentor to multiple apprentices.

bearshadow always wanted to become closer to his older sister, thistledawn. technically they were half siblings, but it was close enough to him. that was the reason he even joined emberclan: he wanted to be with thistledawn and get close to her. but she pushed him out and didn't care for him. bearshadow hoped becoming a warrior alongside her would make her notice him, but it didn't even fase her. no matter how far he moved up the ranks she always looked away from him and barely noticed him. even as he got a mate, and had kits, she didn't notice. he loved his mate and loved how rookfang cared for him, but he wanted her praise, wanted her to purr for him or call him 'brother' but in her eyes he will always be just another cat in the clan.

he was just a background character in her eyes.

Eyes open wide to stars shining bright,
Two ghostly cats appear in moonlight.

Motioned towards the edge of a nearby cliff,
Spine like the lake beneath, frozen and stiff.

Leaping, Falling
Screaming, Calling

Landing, Gracefully
Standing, Safely

Spotting beneath the frosty floor,
A cat seen many years before.

Floating in perfect stillness she lies,
"I must break through this wretched ice"

A single crow, feathers dark and black,
Spreading wings, begin to flap

BREAK!

Squawks the crow and more appear,
Landing, surrounding, and drawing near,

BREAK!

Behind the murder an ominous fog grew,
Beating their wings, commanding,

BREAK YOU!

Deadly terror coursing through veins as paws awkwardly slip,
Turning, running, confidence wanes as claws suddenly grip.

Crows follow in chase, dive bomb at pace,
The shoreline a never closer end to this race.

Nearly to the edge, a quick survey of what follows,
The fog finally reaches, engulfs, and then swallows,

Eyes open wide to flourishing meadow,
Striped she-cat, moonlit, not alone though.

The two from the cliff stand at each side,
"There is a weight in you, deep inside"

Ice hangs from frozen fur,
"I tried my best to save her"

"Will you suffer the same fate?"
"Frozen still in this place?"

"It is finished" she turns, and retreats into the blades,
The ice melting away, dripping water that soon fades.

"It is finished."
