Not only is he names mudpelt because his fur is the color of mud, it’s also because he’s such a troublemaker. He’s constantly getting into trouble and it somehow usually ends up with his getting covered in mud. It can’t be explained since most of his pranks don’t involve mud, but they usually end with someone (probably mudpelt) covered in mud.

step- this suffix was given to him for always stepping into other cats lives.

leaffall!! the browns with jagged lines resemble fallen maple leaves, while the yellow/green eyes resemble the colors of leaves in the summer. also its just a name that reminds me of an old old old old old warriors oc i had with a similar coat, who needs a revamp anyways ^^
