some stoof about em (can be changed)
- large felines with the overall build of a lion, but slightly smaller
- usually fluffier than lions
- usual short tail
- gems grow on their body
- almost always has a heart-shaped jewel on their chest
- unlike lions, they don't usually have manes, so the genders aren't determined by that
- relatively large paws | toes can spread out | act as snowshoes
- normally live where there is snow but can often be found in forests, prairies, and even coastal areas
- crouch down, then propel themselves upwards with their long hind legs, landing on prey and stunning it
- similar to foxes and lynxes in hunting | will jump and use their front paws to crash through layers of snow to find hidden prey
- can take down things bigger than them, such as elk, bison, caribou, moose
