Cornnibal goes hrnnmg corn
Cornnibals
Cornnibals are large insect canidae with the upper body of a praying mantis and the lower body of an unknown creature. They live near farms where they're either considered friends or pests, as they love to steal corn. Farmers like them for their scythe tails and large carrying arms, and tend to make deals with them. They can be well trained farm help, and still love to cause mischief.
Cornnibals hoard certain items, you can find a Cornnibal's stash near a pile of rocks, or under once. They like to put large rocks, so no one can lift them. A Cornnibal does this out of territorial and parental instinct, and you can often find a Cornnibal's nest hidden the same way. They're very protective of their young, and have excellent tracking skills even though they are blind.
The antenna on their heads are used for tracking and sensing, they use them to find food and track down predators and prey that have messed with their young. Cornnibals never eat them, but rest easy knowing their young are safe.
