𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐅𝐞𝐲𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐬?
Feyrals are a shapeshifting race of feyfolk that can take both humanoid and animal form.
These creatures come from the vast forest realm of the Feywild, home to all fairy creatures. Feyrals are generally unwilling to give humans access to their villages, but one settlement called Nift has allowed contact between our realms. Now, Feyrals are looking for human settlements to integrate into.

𝐅𝐞𝐲𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲
Feyral life both begins and ends with something called a Mother Tree. The Mother Tree produces seeds from which baby Feyrals emerge, and at the end of its life, a Feyral will become one with the Mother Tree in its village.
Because of their reliance on an unmoving object, most feyrals live fairly sedentary lifestyles. Those who do leave the village usually only do so to trade between villages, or to take a dying Feyral somewhere where it can become one with the earth, forming a new Mother Tree.
In their humanoid form, Feyrals stand at about 4'2 feet tall, and at 3'2 in their animal form. Typically, they are hairless, have black eyes, and sport colorful fairy wings in both forms. They grow as seeds for 1 year, hatch, begin to fly at about 12-15 years old, gain the ability to shapeshift into a humanoid form at 20-22, and die at anywhere from 200-300 years old.
Feyrals come in 6 different morphs, sets of physical characteristics that are distinct from the other morphs. Some features are morph-specific and some are not. All Feyrals, regardless of morph, are intersex/genderless, able to shapeshift, and born from a Mother Tree.

𝐑𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐬
Feyrals are a closed species.
This goes without saying, don't steal feyrals as a species, or individual designs, or a feyral you didn't win from the winner, and don't bully the staff or winner.
There is no maximum amount of feyrals to own, but if you win a Feyral, you must wait for 3 more adoptions to pass before you can apply for another. (This rule does not apply if you apply for a Feyral and do not recieve it.)
Feyrals cannot be traded or sold by the adopter. If you no longer want your Feyral, contact me (the owner) and I will handle the readoption from that point. Feyrals cannot be co-owned by 2+ users.
You may draw, roleplay as, or post about your Feyrals, as long as credit is given. Fanart is deeply appreciated! :)
Do not change the Feyral's pattern/design. Changes in outfits are acceptable within moderation. If unsure, ask the original artist.
You get to decide what pronouns your Feyral uses, because Feyrals don't have genders like humans do.
Feel free to ship/pair up your Feyrals.
