shamrock guards treasure, kinda like a dragon--except she sleeps. and sleeps. and sleeps. all the time.
she's hibernating 24/7 except sometimes to eat a large meal so she doesn't have to eat for another meal or two.
Her snake (tail), however, is always on alert. Since Shamrock sleeps all the time, he doesn't have much to eat. Shamrock makes sure to pick out caves plentiful with mice, rodents, and even termites so he can grab meals passing by. However, if an intruder comes, he'll always be on alert to protect her.
The snake had a child, the one on Shamrock's back.
