Alasi (pl.) are a quite odd, but lovely group of avians that are distantly related to hawks! Despite being related to such a bird of prey alasi are omnivorous and eat a far more varied diet than their distant cousins.
Alasi, as you'd expect are covered head to tail in feathers that can range from very thin almost strand like feathers to very round feathers like that of a cockatoo to the, of course, more elaborate feathers some birds of paradise, parrots, or even chicken can have. But because of this, they spent a lot of their time preening their feathers and wings (and other Alasi's!). And they use their beaks to do this, which also can come in a wide variety of shapes, the most common, hookbills of parrots and one has even been spotted with the bill of a toucan before!
