Traits and Guidelines for Features

Mosses
- Tend to be smaller
- Usually found near bodies of water and in damper areas
- Their quills are shorter and stubbier to accommodate for the fuzzy mosses
- Really soft

Ferns
- Slightly bigger
- Love damp places
- Thicker and longer quills to support the heavy fern leaves
- Love cuddling into plant pots

Conifers
- Large trees grow more like bonsais
- Needles or teeny tiny leaves
- Usually evergreen
- Much bigger hedgies (small housecat)
- They shed quills and drop cones all the time

Succulents
- Don't need too much water
- About average hedgie size
- Can grow multiple or just one succulent
- Usually have intriguing eye colours

Flowering plants
- Varying from herbs to trees
- Includes fruit and veg
- LOVE being around others
- Center of attention

Crystals
- Have been known to live in caves/underground for long periods
- Crystals and gems are found between or to be their quills
- Very shy nature
- Much rarer to find

Water
- Carry a water container in their quills (usually found glass)
- Water reliant plants
- Calm and cool by nature
- Sometimes keep leetle fishies and/or froggos/crabs, etc

Fungi
- Stinkers (smelly babs)
- Sporadic nomads
- In your face personality
- Been known to hang around Fae and Witches

Normal
- The normal bapies we know and love
- Adorable beans that don't show any sign of flora in their quills
- sometimes have super unique markings
- Much rarer to find

Other Critters
- Have been known to live in the garden/visit often
- Can be any smol creature (squirrel, bunny, mouse, snek, etc)
- Varying plant types
- Super rare to find

✓Adopt up unlimited Hedgies, including staff customs and offspring
✓Draw them as much as you like
✓Trade or gift Hedgies, but only after having it for a minimum of a week (nursery = 1 week minimum). Please do contact the archivist if this is the case.
✓You may add as many accessories to your Hedgies as you would like. Changing the expression (within reason) is allowed too
✓Roleplay with your Hedgies. Go crazy (but no too crazy, 'ey.)
✓Pm me if there are any problems at all
✓Pm [url](sidekick goes here)[/url] if I am away and you need help desperately

✗Use your Hedgies on any other species lines
✗ Do not mark this topic more than once. It is considered spam or bumping. Breaking this rule will result in a warning or strike.
✗ Hedgies are a closed species. You may not make your own without my permission.
✗ Hedgies are not allowed to become your “fursona”
✗ You are not allowed to alter/ change your Hedgie's design in any way
✗ Editing beyond changing facial expressions and accessories is not allowed.

ＭＡＴＥＳ

↳ Hedgies can be of any romantic or sexual orientation and can be bred with any other gender to produce offspring (yay for imaginary species)
↳ Hedgies can be bred up to two times in their lifetime
↳ They tend to mate for life - this means that a relationship announcement post must be made on the fanclub or on the official discord at least a week before applying for a litter
↳ Incestuous relationships are NO
↳ Adult x young relationships are NO
↳ You are not allowed to message an artists about a breeding slot. Artists will open breeding slots on their terms.
↳ It takes two weeks before a kit can be grown (anyone is able to grow their kits)
↳ A breeding can result between 1-2 kits (the number of offspring will be decided using a number generator) - see nursery guidelines
↳ Users must wait a minimum of one week before they can breed their Bean Bun after receiving it
↳ Users must wait a minimum of two weeks after breeding their Bean Buns before they are allowed to breed again
↳ You may only request that the nursery artist rolls for mutations if you have an item that allows for this

↳ Currently only staff members may create customs
↳ Staff have an upon custom and below that they may create themselves or request for an artist to do so
↳ Staff may make one custom per month - depending on their activity
↳ Artists may turn down other staff's request
↳ Customs must be put under a CS approved cover until they are approved by myself or a staff member
