Meet Lightpool
Lightpool's childhood was a simple one. She was a quiet kit, not particularly one to stand out in a crowd. Her siblings were brave and fearless, proving their abilities at young ages. But while her siblings were out wrestling and battling, she was sitting alone enjoying the peace. Her reluctance towards combat led her on a path to the medicine den, where she met her mentor and found her passion. Healing came naturally to the she-cat and she learned and grew at a rapid pace. When the time came for her mentor to retire, she took his place and worked diligently to uphold his name, even after his passing.
She was viewed as the clans greatest medicine cat, but in winter a new trial arose. Cats grew ill and presented symptoms of which she had never seen before. She tried everything she knew, working tirelessly day and night and monitoring the cats with a prayer in her heart. However, she found herself completely incapable. Seven apprentices and four warriors passed under her care.
Broken and suddenly very unsure of herself, Lightpool fled the clan. She wandered to the two-leg town and met the cats of the streets, cats which led lives of violence and chaos. She set about helping them mend their wounds while hiding from the two legs, calling herself Light to shed her warrior name out of shame. She planned to live her life there, alone in the confines of the tall walls of stone and wood, but it changed when a tom approached her.
His name was Duskfall, and he introduced himself as the deputy of a young and rising clan. He invited her to his clan, and though she rejected at first, he kindly told her were she could find it and slipped away into the distant woods.
Light remained for several moons, though her mind never released the thought of that clan. After two dreams in a row of her living in a clan again, sparking her passion up once more and reigniting the joy in her heart, she decided to set out. She taught a kind stray cat simple methods of healing, and left to follow the tom to the clan he had told her about.
Light was welcomed with open arms and was given back her warrior name in Cinderclan. Though the tom was no longer there and a new deputy was there, she could see the things he had told her about unfolding before her eyes. The clan became home to her, and a spark to protect and care for those within it arose inside of her heart, rekindling a fire which had long since been still. Though her confidence is not the same, Lightpool works hard once more, striving to keep her clan safe.
