Teak Deer - #044

Postby birch. » Thu Jan 10, 2019 11:00 am

Teak Deer

The size of the common Fallow Deer, the Teak Deer is a medium sized Cervidae. Neither males nor females carry antlers, making them near indistinguishable between the two. They live in large social groups known as herds, often headed by a dominant individual that leads them across their large territories. Unlike most other species, the Teak deer comes in a variety of colours and patterns, that differ them from most ordinary Cervidae.

To whom it may concern:
I will be extremely busy for the next few months due to trapping season being in full swing, receiving large hides that I need to tan, and having to run a farm. I do apologize for the lateness of any posts/art and I hope you do understand <3

Favorite Activity:
Running, LIghtning’s Claw’s favourite activity is simply running. Whether for a competition, from danger or even just for the fun of it, he absolutely enjoys running. The amount of time he’s sent running combined with how competitive his peers were has left him the fastest deer in the herd, able to beat anyone in a race. He’s extremely proud of that fact, too.

Unfortunately, he’s only ever really cared about speed or his thoughts, never being quiet or careful and often tripping over obstacles in his way. If he’d ever thought about it, he’d have made a brilliant Searcher and may have even rivaled Tree’s Shadow for best in the rank. Because of his tunnel vision when running, however, it’s left him relegated to the bottom rankings of Protector, not very able to do the tasks assigned to him. He’s not strong or large, he’s a runner. Running is his favourite activity because he’s brilliant at it and because it lets him leave the problems of the herd behind and get lost in his own thoughts.

Favorite Activity:
Shadow absolutely loves training and helping fawns learn where they are. He’s a master of fighting and tracking, however he has a horrible healing talent. He trains the fawns everyday, taking several out for training and in the afternoons he takes out the struggling ones for one-on-one training. He loves them and will always help them, no matter what happens.
Shadow tends to have a soft spot for fawns who have no one to care for them and will often take unwanted fawns under his wing to train and prepare for Herd life.
