Story: Sylvie examined his new staff, admiring the way it glinted in the winter sun. He’d heard tales of its legendary power; rumours circulated the local settlements about how it could level mountains and control the oceans. Sylvie saw much power contained within it, but nothing as powerful as that. He fiddled with it in his paws, before channeled the energies within it towards the nearby candle. It flared up with a bright flame and the wax melted more quickly than it would with an ordinary flame. He performed a few more minor magics, but it was nowhere near as powerful as it was made out to be. I’d better keep its powers secret, he thought. My kingdom will behave better if they think it’s stronger than it is. A legendary staff should remain legendary- it is not my right to cast it in a negative light just for the sake of truth.
