...and you can't stop it from happening when you hear that certain something that sets it off, it's even worse when someone else thinks you're just faking it or something.

This is misophonia in a nutshell, if you haven't heard of it, I encourage you to look it up, I wouldn't wish this stuff on anyone. :\
